Dead Fly Buchowski
The latest Beatbreakers are Dead Fly Buchowski. According to the blurb, they make "raw, powerful, roots-driven, yet melodic and affecting rock ‘n’ roll.... an energetic crescendo... a psychedelic madhouse!!" (Beatbreakers 19/11/03).

Deckard
Beatbreakers Deckard are one of Scotland's most exciting new rock bands. Taking their name from the sci-fi classic "Bladerunner", the band are still pretty much an unknown quantity in their homeland, despite having released an album through the legendary Reprise label in the States. They've also had their music featured in "Friends" and the US version of "Trigger Happy TV"! Hopefully their new album "Dreams Of Dynamite And Divinity" will see them gain the widespread recognition they deserve (Beatbreakers 14/4/04).

Degrassi
Long-time Beatscene favourites Degrassi are yet another Scottish acts causing a stir down south. The Edinburgh band first burst onto the scene with their self-produced "Terminal Ocean EP", which later found its way onto SL Records. Since then they've found themselves an additional guitarist in the shape of former Idlewild bass legend Bob Fairfoull. "The Form", their second EP on SL, originally appeared last year, but has now been re-released due to demand. (Beatbreakers 17/3/04)

Delta Mainline
Coming over like a cross between Spiritualized and My Bloody Valentine, Jim first spotted this week's Beatbreakers Delta Mainline playing a gig in their hometown of Edinburgh. At the time Jim described them as "one of the best live band I've seen this year". A year later the band have finally got it together to record their debut EP 'Beautiful Sunshine', set for release in the Autumn. (Beatbreakers w/c 11/7/05)

Diadem
Glasgow-based alt. rockers Diadem have been regulars on the Beatscene for the past couple of years. Jim reckons the guys recent single "Reject" is one of the finest local releases of 2003 so far. Compared to the likes of Placebo and Muse, it can only be a matter of time before the buzz spreads outside Scotland. (Beatbreakers 17/8/03)

Drive-By Argument
Ayrshire band Drive-By Argument were one of the major hits on the T Break Stage at this year's T In The Park. The guys release their debut single 'Sex Lines Are Expensive Comedy' through One Records on November 7. Recently touring with label-mates El Presidente, the 5-piece look a good bet to become of of Scotland's most important new bands... and the name? It's a reference from an episode of animated TV series Family Guy apparently. (Beatbreakers w/c 31/10/05)
