The X1

Glasgow band The X1 first came to Jim's attention with a fantastic two-song live demo early this year. Their latest recordings show even more potential, with hints of soul, punk and rock'n'roll. Think of The Libertines with their heads screwed on, and you'd be halfway there! (Beatbreakers w/c 20/12/04)

X-Tigers

Edinburgh-based band X-Tigers lay down some melodic but edgy indie rock. The 4-piece have been described as "a fantastic amalgam of Ziggy era Bowie and the Pixies" (Metro). Since making their live debut in Fife in 2001, the band have appeared all over the place, including a prestigious slot at T In The Park.
